well just got my monte out of body shop and i dont have fog lights
Sorry to hear your insurance is being a doofus.
I believe I would stay on them. Till they make it right. If you've got photos proving the car had fog lights = nothing they can do by law but make it right.
ive never heard of this vin thing you guys are talking about. some guy did a hit and run on me when i was 16. i was told to go to a body shop or 2 and get quotes. body shops charge a lot for labor. they cut me a check, i bought the parts and fixed myself. im sure you could of added foglights with the difference.
what is aaa..... insurance company.
i really think it more up to your agent doing the work he or she gets paid to do when theres an accident. the policy holder shouldnt have to make phone calls, complaining about the work done. ive never heard of a company forcing you to go to there bodyshop. usually its your choice. if you picked a bad shop, thats on you that you drove away with your car, w/o the lights installed. most full coverage policies come with a roadside assitance and rental addon for about 6 dollars every 6 months. i think its worth it.
also its sucks that you got into an accident, but you hit them. theres tecniques that they teach you in driving school when your 15. idk if you had to take those classes in your state, but they should make them mandatory. they also show you a video of a cop shoveling a guys brains off the highway. its graphic but shows students the conciquences of irratic driving.
Thinking, "Why is my dad behind me?" LOL

thing is ever since what happend then and now the insurance that i had. i switched to geico by the way and they are going after the bady shop for removing parts that were on the car and not putting them back on. the insurance that i had wich is progresive by the way they didnt want to a damn thing. and you are right monte carlo 3831. progressive kept trying to not paay for things that i have on the car when i got it. i have the switch and majority of the wires but not the harness for the fog lights coming from the fuse box to the lights. i dont think the shop will remove all of the wiring just to say hay he didnt have it on the car. even though they gave me the lights back but no wires. i am trying to figure out hoe to get them and find the bumper that i had. it looks like what i have on the car now but it had fog lights on it. i have seen some 7th gen monte's have the same bumper as the impalla and i think those are ugly
its completly different, just a little.
anyways i saw this wreck to **** car with "gieco didnt want to pay"
all over the car with white paint. lol
sure there not gonna pay for some carbonfiber hood, but the hood with the scoop from mpd costs about the same as an oen hood. even the headlights cost less than the owm ones, tails too. so if there cutting you a check, idk see why you cant just get the things you need, take them to a shop and get-ur-done.
unless the bank is forcing you to go to "there" shop. and really if you switched to gieco after the fact, i really dought there fighting for you. have you given them 1 payment.
no i didnt i just drove away and i said talk to progressive. because i didnt get even get a check from them to do the work. right now i have all the parts except for the wire harness for the fog lights. what i mean the wires coming from the ecm to the fog lights are not there. right now i am tring to find the wires that majicaly disapered off my car with out paying between 235-500 dallars for it again. this happened twice with progressive. i am pissed with that fn insurance company
