Well today I got my red under-dash LEDs installed. Here are some pics.




I also got my 3 post spoiler painted today but I wont install that til next weekend

 

Cool! Those red LED's a really bright too.

I changed the interior lights on my 99 grand am to red lights also.But with red colored bulbs, not LED's. The red bulbs didn't seem to be anywhere near as bright as your LED's.

How many LED's you got under the dash? And what wattage? Kinda look like 3 or 5 watt at least. Are they plugged into the factory sockets, or did you have to do some wiring? I'm still debating whether or not to change my Monte's interior lights to red. But worried it would be too dark at night with the all black interior.

Nice floor mats. I got the same ones with the red bowtie. Took a trip to a lot of stores to find them with a red bowtie instead of gold.

Like the black and red seats too.

 

You got a switch for them of are they on all the time?

If they were on while I was driving ... it would make me crazy! Which ain't sayin' much ... because I am crazy!
My Monte is driving me C-R-A-Z-Y!
All I can think about is that Dex-Cool sitting in the block eating its way through my gaskets!
I got to get that stuff out of there.
I need to stick-in a cooler Stat; too ... and then a U-Bend Delete. Then I have to add Nitros, a Supercharger, a Cold Air Intake, a Cat-Back, a Black Cat and Fuzzy Dice.
Oh, yea! And a back seat and trunk full of huge speakers.

Maybe I'll get lucky and hit the Lottery!

 

They come on with the courtesy lights. They are 30pc LED strips. There is one on each side.I had to run a wire from the dome light, down the b pillar, along the floor and under the dash to the lights. The 5th gens dont have any under dash lighting so I had to improvise. I dont know the wattage of them tho. I dont know if Im gonna change the rest of the lights to red. The stock lights arent that bright so they dont outshine the LEDs on the floor, so they may just stay white. I found the floormats at the very first place I looked. They were at advanced auto.

 

 

Thanks space. Im not sure what is next. I may be done with major mods until after school is over. I like the look of the interior and exterior, though I may paint some of the dash pieces red. I really want to do some performance mods, but I will have to wait a while so I dont use up all my school money.

This is what I bought. I paid 2 something for the product and 8 something for shipping. It came from hong kong. I mounted the strips to the liner under the dash with zip ties by cutting slits in the liner and running the tiesthough the linerfrom the back of it around the strip and back up through the liner. I ran 18 gauge speaker wire from the dome light wires, down the b piller (driver side) along the floor and to the strip. I then linked the driver side strip to the passenger side strip. Each strip has a plug at both ends specifically to link strips together.

 

nice, I made somethign like this but i decided they were to bulky. But figure i would see if i can find somethign diffrent to replace them with. After they tore my dash us they broke them and the wires on them so i have to fix or replace them anyway.
