Ill miss that beautiful monte...
why not trade the gtp? Its a great car still, but not the monte...

Jus remember that you don't have to be an owner to remain a member.
My mom has a 00 camry 4cyl. Most reliable car ever... just maintain the heck out of the tranny.

Wow that REALLY sucks! For a Toyota too... I woulda went Cruze or Focus at least. lol

I really hope your wife is happy though, and honestly, your wifes happiness is more important than your own. That's just how it is. lol

Good luck though, and I do hope you find your way into the seat of a Camaro.

From one trader to another, I'm happy with my new seat! Ear to ear, man!

I traded the Monte rather than the GTP because the GTP has 130,000 miles on it and although still very nice, is was no where near the value of the Monte. I wanted to put as little into the new car as possible.

Toyota's are great cars! I am not brand loyal either.
We did look at a new Cruze LTZ RS. It was a sweet car. The problem was that is was tiny. The Camry is the size of a Grand Prix.
Same with the Focus. We did look at a Fusion. It was nice, but she liked the Camry better.

Sorry to hear that you had to trade in the Monte. You are a better man than I. My ex-wife tried to get me to get rid of my 70 Monte many times during our marriage and I never would. I'm glad that I didn't because we ended up splitting up and then I would be without the car and the wife. Enjoy the new car.

It was definitely my choice and not hers. She actually tried to talk me out of it.

I talked to my dad today. He works at the dealership I traded it in at. Apparantly it sold the day I traded it in. I wondered why it wasn't on the dealership website everytime I checked.

I would feel a little better thinking that someone fell in love with her that much right away!!! She probably went to a good home then.
