Sucks you had to take that low. Someone got a great deal on a nice Monte though. Sounds like you got a good plan worked out though for a new one

I will need a winter car when, and if, I ever get a nicer Monte. Plus, my stepson will be driving in a couple years, so a cheap fifth gen will keep my in a Monte, plus my stepson will have a car then too.

Thanks. I'm not looking forward to taking the car to the guy tonight, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Theres always an upside man. One day you'll have one thats better. Gotta look at the positive.

Will do. I have seen some decent deals on them too. I'm not overly concerned about mileage, especially since it will end up being a winter beater and eventually being driven by my stepson. I'm hoping to find something for a couple thousand that doesn't have any rust.

Thanks everybody.
I'm going to look at a 99 LS today after work. It has a ton of miles on it, but only 65,000 on the engine. I'm hoping to bring it home for the weekend so I can have my mechanic check it out. With the mileage on it, I want to make sure all the steering components and suspension and such is ok. I'd hate to be driving with my kids in the car and have something break.
