Default Tint concerns and wanted advice

So I'm from MN, and within the last week, I've been pulled over three times for my tint, which i found out was 17%, where as legal is 50%. Either way, i've recently learned that MN law also has a limit for reflective tints, where legal is 20%.

So here's my question, Have any of you ever installed this type of window film (specifically llumar or 3M, since their the types that the installers I've talked to use). I'd like to switch to stay legal and still look good, but i can't find many good pics for reference.

If anyone had some pics, and/or some words of advice, they'd be much appreciated

Thanks

i've wanted tint for a long time, it looks great, but sadly, it seems like cops all over MN are d*cks about it (i speak from experience), even if it's legal they will pull you over to see if you're drinking, open bottle, or something else, epsecially at night on the weekends. my gf had legal 50% tint on her car and has been pulled over 3 times in a year. then she took it to the dealer to get it removed. my advice is this: if you must have tint, ok fine, but it draws LOTS of attention to yourself if you don't mind it.

Jeez- 50% tint even seems like a waste of time!

50% basically is, it's hardly noticeable compared to a factory non-tinted window, its ridiculuous, thats why i'm looking into this reflective tint, checking my options because supposedly you can go down to 20% with that type of film in MN.

And yeah Drewskie, i went a year and a half with no problems, but all of a sudden its like their cracking down on tint, maybe cause they got nothing else to do. At the same time though, i think it just accents the car nice, and who wouldn't love other looking at your car, ha.
