are there any videos step by step showing how to set the time when using a double roller timing chain on a 3800 supercharged motor or at lease a few steps

i dont know of any videos but i have pics that will show you

first thing you do before installing the new timing set is make sure cylinder 1 piston is at top dead center!!

as you can see in this picture you want the crank gear (bottom gear) installed so the (0) is facing up (toward the cam gear) and on the cam gear you want the dot facing down toward the crank gear. the (0) and the dot should line up with each other.

you will also want to buy a new crank and cam bolt as well

GM ACDelco - Crankshaft Bolt #GM-24504736
GM ACDelco - Camshaft Bolt #GM-24501366

also it is a good idea to have the gears machined to fit true to the block. (barnas performance machine is who did mine)

you will also want to buy a machined oil pump cover.
ZZPerformance - Machined Oil Pump Cover #ZZ-OILPCVR

hope this info helps you out

I would recommend getting a roll master timing set. I remember hearing a lot of stories about the jp timing set breaking. I am using the roll master.
