throttle body spacers
Do throttle body spacers really work? I've read it works on some cars but not others. Would it work on a 05 monte ss s/c? if so, do i need to run anything with it? Or just slap it on and go?

i've read lots about them and the opinion i've formed (and what i've read) is NO they don't really work. i've read they work a little on the LS4s because the intake manifold has a somewhat poor design so it gives the air a little more momentum entering the manifold. another idea behind them is it adds volume to the intake manifold so it will give you more low end torque.
if you do a search on this forum you will find a few threads about it. there have been ppl that have used one and haven't noticed much. IMO i think you should save your money or put it towards other mods. but if you did put one on, it's pretty much a bolt on and go deal.

or skip the ported TB and get a northstar. they're bigger anyways.
plus, if you were really dead set on running a tb spacer, you technically would be anyways (well, it would be an adapter for the N*tb, but it would be kinda like a spacer).
