I guess this is ONLY helpful if I plan on building my own freakin LED tailights.....

all I can tell you is that I bought these lights over six months ago, and SUPRISINGLY (based on your last post) are still working!!!

wow...... imagine that

so I post LEDs that are MADE FOR OUR CAR! and you post a dumb "instruction" site as if I was building my own LED taillights....

I guess I am lost......

Is this post about "is it possible to have LED tailights with your 00-05?" or is it "I can build the better LED taillight with a resistor and....stuff" LOL

from your page you posted: "An LED must have a resistor connected in series to limit the current through the LED, otherwise it will burn out almost instantly."

Well since I had mine almost six months I CAN ONLY ASSUME these are built into the lights.....

come on man let's not be too noid about a bunch of lights that cost a couple pennies burning out!!! LOL

Did I not post this so you will see what I was telling you( READ...Specially designed PC boards ensure longer lifetime and reliable performance. This was incorperated in your lights so that will work. Please don't assume you know all when you have to read.

I think we're talkin two different things here guys.

1. Cars (taillights to be exact)
2. PC boards.

1. There are aftermarket LED taillights for the '00-05 Montes. and they do look cool. Very cool.

2. There may be LEDs for PC boards? I'm not really a PC freak so I can't support this claim? With things the way they are today, would it surprise me to find out there are now LEDs to light my cat Chelsea's litter box for her? NOPE!

PS. In the event Chelsea is thinking of lighting her litter box with LEDs, she better be looking for a part-time job. Cause I know I'm not buying them for her.

A printed circuit board, or PCB, is used to mechanically support and electrically connect electronic components using conductive pathways, or traces, etched from copper sheets laminated onto a non-conductive substrate. Alternative names are printed wiring board (PWB),and etched wiring board. A PCB populated with electronic components is a printed circuit assembly (PCA), also known as a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).

They will fit but yo uhave to get a resister in between the hot wire to the lights. LEDS will not work with the 2000 05 setup. They will burn each light out at a time.
please read your own post!!!!!!

this POST (see above) is what I am replying to....

anyway you word it, or how many links to tech stuff that you post.....YOU were still WRONG!!!

please just acknowledge that you were wrong in this quote when you stated that LEDS did not work for the 00-05.....

Thats all I want is correct info getting posted to inform people correctly......

NOT AT ALL am I saying I am always right....but I do know that these LED taillights will work for a 00-05 monte.....

p.s. all your tech pages are very informing and are appreciated! Thanks for the info!

The LED tail lights that were available in the group buy section work fine in the 00-05 Montes. Nocturnx and many other 6th gen Monte owners here have them installed, and they work well.

Enough of the petty bickering from everyone.
