i dont know everything and never said i did but i do know a lot and i do know the builder of jonbobs car and the new owner of jonbobs car personally. yes new owner, jonbob no longer owns the whipple car.

some specs on the whipple car, it dynoed 537whp on 21psi before the cog belt, bigger ic, and on an old fuel system. there shooting for around 625whp on the new setup and running a smaller pulley to push about 28psi. this is pretty much max.

on the 1/4 mile is went 11.95@112mph

the best 1/8 mile it ever went was 7.21 spinning a little which this time in a 1/4 mile should be around 11.10-11.30... now with the upgrades yes it will be faster but there is a impala single turbo that went 10.00. bob cook went 8.90 with single turbo and spray, scott cook went 9.49 just single turbo.

im not trying to fight here but just prove facts, so far to date a single turbo car has beat a whipple car. i hope the new owner (good friend of mine) can take the record and beat the single turbo cars but i dont see it happening.

 

Ok youtube fastest m90 gtp runs a 10 sec 1/4 mile that's an m90! A whipple done right like that gtp would be way faster. A lot of turbo builds use methanol to where sc don't.

 

a 10.82@126mph...... turbo cars are faster than that....

either way there both very quick but a 3800 turbo car as of now makes more power and has a faster et than any 3800 sc car ive ever seen or heard of....

 

Ya I was just saying that's with a m90 whipple puts out way more power and so does a csc and still could use nitrous. I don't see a problem with 8 or 9 with a whipple done correct. If this guy got a m90 to 10's whipple could go way further

 

Ed morad went 10.7 with a blowzilla.... if it were easy enough and feasible to take a 3800 sc and beat turbo 3800 people would of done it. It hasn't been done because people either got to a point they couldn't get it any faster or realized its much easier to do with a turbo. Either way as of now no 3800 sc car has beat the fastest single turbo 3800.

 

No they realized its cheaper to go turbo if it don't make sense to you that a whipple and csc are better then a m90 then you will never understand

 

I never said they are not a better more efficient sc because they are for sure. That's not what I'm saying, I'm just proving facts of no CSC or Whipple 3800 went faster than the fastest single turbo 3800 that I've ever seen to date. Until proven otherwise a turbo is the way to go for a more powerful, faster 1/4 mile 3800 car.
