Sunroof Question
Hey everyone. The other night I decided to clean out my sunroof tracks and grease them really good with white lithium grease. I took my time to clean out all of the old grease and dirt really well and then sprayed some lithium grease on the track and components. It really helped the speed in which it opens and the motor doesn't seem to be bogged down as much now. But my question is for some reason when I close the sunroof from the fully open position it makes a clunk noise when it starts to move. It moves as soon as you press the button but it makes this clunk noise. It only happens when closing never when opening the sunroof. I was hoping greasing it would help but it didn't. It only clunks once when it starts to move then it is fine. That is the only problem I have with it. It's a 2002 SS. Should I be worried? I just don't want it to break because I love my sunroof and they are really expensive to replace from what I hear.
I don't know if you have to worry about it or not but even mine "Stutters" when closing some times. I chalk it up as to not usining it enoough becuse I store it in winter.

Thanks for the reply. I think it might be my motor engaging. The bang comes from around the Driver Info Center area where the outside temp is displayed. I don't know why it bangs like that tho but the motor seems to be a little weak but nothing too bad.
