Starting To Show Her Age.
My Monte is starting to age.
Every so often the Engine Light comes on because she throws a P0446 Code signifying a small leak in the Evap System.
I can't find the leak and replaced the Gas Cap.
So, I just go to AutoZone, borrow the OBD2 Tool and reset the light.
The Engine Temperature Gauge is dead.
The Signal Lights are lazy.
Sometimes I have to turn-on the Hazard Lights for a second before the Signal Lights work.
The Speedo seems unreliable at times.
Yesterday, it was indicating 35; and I'll bet I was going close to 50.
The Tranny is getting harsh on me.
Even with the 100,000 Flush its getting harsh between first and second.
There's 106,500 on the Odometer.
The left-rear tire needs air once a week.
A pothole split the right front rim.
I had the rim repaired at a Rim Repair Shop. It's holding-up good.
You can see where it was TiG'd and grinded.
No rust or dings yet.
The WeatherTech Floor Mats keep the Interior looking brand new.
The 3400 V6 is running great.
The Lower Intake Gaskets were replaced with Fel-Pro Brand Gaskets and a set of Bolts.
When Ii got my last Oil Change, there was a note that said my R-Front Wheel Bearing needed replacement.
How do I know?
The steering is true and there's no noises.
What do I do when the Tranny starts acting-up, bad?
Have it rebuilt or get a New one?
Entertain me with some High-mileage stories so I know I'm doing the right thing holding-on to my Monte!
Happy New Year to one and all.

Heres a little tranny advise....
Mine has 163,000 miles on it...You said you had it flushed at 100k and now have 106+k on it...I would have a fluid filter change done on it...
and see if that doesnt alleviate the shifting issues...
I have my trans filter fluid changed at least once a year.... Religiously..
But admittedly I deceided to have it rebuilt at 130k...I had what they call a soft rebuild...cost me just 1000.00...and have been problem free...
I to have also done the elbows, upper lower intake, Radiator, Normal maintenance I guess for our style vehicles....I am commited to driveing mine till all the wheels fall off! Regardless of condition... As a diehard Chevrolet Monte Carlo owner.... Its like an old friend, Thats always there for you to lean on....
Its all about personal choice....But personally I could never part with mine..Since I ordered it brand new from the factory.
Hope this helps!
Maybe someone else will chime in to help with the other minor issues your haveing.
