I believe only '04 and '05 had the option of a supercharged 3.8 in a Monte, and good luck finding one under $10,000. At least that's how high they're priced around here.

oh wow. Maybe I'll just have to find a regular SS 00-2003. Either that or well, hate to say it but Might have to look for something else. How well does your 03 ss perform 0-60? I dont like to race or anything but I love something I can feel the torque push me back. Do you guys think a clean 80's SS would be worth it?

80s SS are always worth it, if you can find a good one. Therein lies the problem. Mine does 0-60 in about 7-something I believe (in 3rd gear), but I have audio equipment which weighs it down quite a bit.

If you are willing to spend 5 instead of 4 I would check out the one you posted before with 66k miles. It looks real clean and low miles are always a plus. You can swap a 350 in later down the road for relatively cheap.

You Don't think the maroon one with the 355 would be better?

I dont think I would want to inherit someones project like that. Plus it has 120,000 miles so it has double the wear of the other one. The drivetrain isnt the only thing that is effected by mileage. Suspension, interior and overall abuse to the body from the extra driving is a factor too.

Yes that's a pretty good point. The only problem is I've emailed the guy twice already in the past few days and no reply. Yet he posts this ad again a couple hours ago. Weird.
