Most are set between 105 and 110...and when they hit that sweet spot it will scare the heck out of you the first time. Most are RPM based with a load.

I get up to 110 before the limit sets in for me

rides really smooth at 90-100+ though, feels like about 70-80 ;]

My 05 LT is, or rather was at 125. I know because I've been there. Now it's removed, but I don't plan on finding the limit again. I will say though, it was silky smooth around 110.

were you going downhill? I've heard people saying that they've gone around those speeds but it doesn't seem right because the governor cuts the engine out around 110-112 or so

LOL, Wink Wink...147mph hypathetically here....and still room to go, we estimate 160 +......Disclaimer:All stunts were performed on a closed course by a professional driver.......

My BF Goodrich are ""Z" rated which is a speed rating determining the tires are good in excess of 146 MPH. So I play it safe at that level, good tires reduces chances of failure at higher speeds.....

I believe it's all in the computer, you have to modify it's programing.

With mine it was definately 122 - 124 mph because when it cut-out I had a Mercedes Compressor on my bumper, so I yielded the road a liitle red faced... lol... Although, that cut-off was achieved in 4th gear which I have since descovered on this forum is a bad thing... I would agree with approx. 112 mph in 3rd gear though... Just in case you know who is monitoring these threads, this has been a hypathetical situation and no ashphalt was hurt in the process, just sayin... lol...
