6th Gen ('00-'05): Spark plugs/wires/ignition coils
Stock / stock / stock is fine for most 3800 setups.
If you're fairly heavily modded (added a turbo, or have a SC and you're starting to drop pulley size significantly) you could start getting into playing with spark plug heat range to match the changes. But besides getting that to line up, theres virtually no power to be made from modifying ignition on these cars. To make matters worse, playing with ignition stuff generally makes things worse as reliability of aftermarket stuff tends to be much worse. If you're looking for power gains, there are other areas better to focus on.
If people try to tell you that their super zapper 3000 ignition parts added more power, ask to see a dyno chart or 1/4 slips.

Using ACDelco wires and OEM coils are musts. Plugs there are many options depending on mods/tune. If it’s stock just use Delco plugs, they’ll last 200,000kms easy.
The OEM coils are tested and proven to give higher voltage than any of the aftermarket “performance” coils. And reliably.
