Bad azz ride. All the good stuff is there - 396 ci, THM400, 12 bolt - awesome! With a coat of paint that thing will be sweet. It's still a nice ride as is!

My dad's '70 Chevelle SS 396 has that washer monitor system, out of a G1 Monte. However, it does not work.
Back in 92/93 when I was having the body redone, the body shop actually lost or stole the in tank part as well as most of the fiber optic line. I told them they needed to find me another one. They actually found a brand new in tank assembly at some dealership somewhere. I had to splice in the fiber optic line since the replacement line they found was not long enough to reach the under dash indicator.

Mine still works but currently for some reason my washer system is not working so it won't draw fluid up to the nozzels. I've got a washer pump rebuild kit ordered that should be here today. I rebuilt it once years ago and hope this new rebuild will fix the problem.

Thanks. I really like that BB torque. Its a fun car to drive but gets crappy gas mileage so it doesn't get driven as much as it should.

No. The Big Block cars all came with the 12 bolt and I'm pretty sure all of the 400 SB cars came with it to. The 307 and 2 barrell 350's pretty much all had the 10 bolt. I think some of the 4 barrell 350's had the 12 bolt depending on how it was ordered.

Sweet Ride Man!

I've always admired the 1st Gen Montes. Plus the car has A/C! The belt is missing from the compressor, and it looks original, probably doesn't work still does it? No biggie though, if your going fast enough, you get lots of "A/C". Plus I didn't know they had a washer fluid low warning light back then- I learned something new today.
