You sound like me but my monte had more miles and dropped its tranny. But always decide what you want to do first to the car. If you only have a summer job to work with you will be doing about one thing per year haha, either exterior or interior or engine.

 

I'm 19 Second year In college =). I didn't even think of buying a car until i came home from break and found out my Mom sold her 97-98(i forget) MC LS, I was PISSED, I loved that car. So I started to research and picked out this one.


Yea most of this wont even get STARTED till the spring, I don't see much of a point during winter. For Now I think I'll work on the Interior, I was in Auto zone today and was checking out their seat covers, I couldn't find a set for the Front AND backs that I liked. want to Go with a BLACK/BLUE or Preferably WHITE/BLUE scheme for the inside of the car, get some Interior LED'S goin on, even a nice Shift cover-thingy if I can find one.

Yeah, i trolled the forum when i was looking for my Monte. hahaha, then i built courage to join.

 

ha my supercharged monte is my second car and i'm turning 19 in december. us young guns most def got lucky getting a monte as such a young age lol. but yeah you got a ncie looking monte with lots of potential most def. and that's a really nice looking colors and i personally dont see runnin round that often. A Ram-Air hood? I'm trying so hard to imagine that lol i cant remember for the life of me what that looks like at the moment! But anyway with the whole color scheme, I think blue/white would look really tight but that's just me. but anyway congrats on the monte!

 

My MC is my second vehicle, well, third really. I got a 99 S10 for my first vehicle. It had 60K on it when I bought it at 16 and now it has 115K on it and my parents use it because it is such a nice vehicle to run to town real quick in. Then when I turned 19, I bought my dad's first car from my aunt's ex husband, a 1978 Nova. I bought this as a project car. Then I got to looking at different daily drivers because I knew that I wanted a different car before I was done with school so I could build up some credit. I started looking at the beginning of the summer and found the 06 MC for the right price equipped exactly the way I wanted and it was even the right color. So, now that I am 20, I have 2 vehicles. So technically, the MC is my third car. Congrats on the find though, hopefully it treats you well.

I agree with you on the pin stripe, I would get rid of that red pin stripe for sure. But if it was me, I would go without pin stripe at all. Personally I think these cars look better without pin stripe!
