Yeah pretty much unless another member is able to model theirs. I'll have to have it physically so I can take accurate measurements with my calipers

Default Desperate for a grill (Tony Stewart or SLP)

So I am a new member with an '04 and STILL looking for a Tony Stewart or SLP grill.... gotta ask does anyone have one? Or is anyone willing to sell? Someone has to be interested in pulling theirs off their car for a buck... let me know the "crazy" price. Thanks!

The mold would be negative unless you then casted a part from it, and I don't know how accurate that would be. Depends on how good you are at molding and casting. Honestly it is probably gonna take a member willing to part with their grille for a couple weeks, I'll send it back of course. Unless you can get a perfect mold and cast done.

I tried messaging you. How much would you charge to basically lay it flat on paper or cardboard and trace it and send to me?
thanks

Older thread, and he hasn't been very active lately. You might not get a reply.

Well I have looked into having one of these made. My friend owns a water jetting company. Says he could do most everything out of aluminum. But then thinks the perimeter would need some CNC work done to it to soften it up or "ease" the edge. He wants $120 a copy if I do a dozen or less, plus CNC work (no quote for this phase). That includes the aluminum and setup and running them. And then for me to make a profit doing these I bet we may be looking at $225 to $250 a copy. I think most people would balk at this number so I essentially dropped it. If I could get about 6 people to commit at this price then I would re-approach him for these.

I have a brand new in the box one and took it to him for his examination and assessment. It is one of only 2 that I know exists, Mac having the other.
I won't sell this one as I want it to be available as a replacement should I ever have the front end badly damaged.

The photo shows the edge detail I speak of. Plus the diamond grid is angular, just a lot of work to fabricate one of these. The initial angled perimeter would be water jetted. It would then have to also be slightly bent to the contour of the car by the installer, which seems plausible. Anyone have any input?

I have some ideas but I simply would like a the outside perimeter for an outline. I could theoretically draw it out and get close. Mainly im looking at ideas that the goal would be something that anyone could make. or I could simply make one or many and turn them for super cheap. They would most likely be close in appearance but not exact or nowhere close to original design but would be an improvement on any vehicle placement. I can do the cnc work or even 3d print work but that Rand D is to expensive to gain the recovery if outsourcing it imo which is why if I can just keep that work internal then it can stay cheap. The idea is only 2 materials. would involve a cnc frame and use that grill mesh you can buy very cheap. If you would be willing to send me a physical outline of the grill I can start on some ideas. The thought is like 50 bucks each if I can pull it off and get the cnc part how I want
Thanks

And honestly my idea may involve a hand made one which furthers anyone could make it so the result how nice it is will be left up to the person making it. It would still use the 3m tape concept also. Really would like an outside trace though
Thanks
