Has anybody installed a security system on their car? I had one installed on my car but it keeps going off every 10 minutes. It even has the installers puzzled at Circuit City. Anybody know what could be causing this?

 

You mean "Short Circuit City"?

I had them do an XM install for me. I made them tear it out and give me my money back 3 weeks later and had a REAL installer put one in. Have someone REAL put it in, not the 17 yr olds that work there.

10 minutes is how long things stay active after you turn the key off. Possibly something to do with that.

 

what do you mean by stay active?

 

our cars have a circut that allows things to stay active in the car for at least 10min before it all shuts down so that it dont drain the bat.

But i was thinking it was 20min. not real sure it has been a long time since i have thought of it let alone hearing of it

 

so could that be triggering the alarm?

 

What options do you have tied to the alarm, barrier system, internal movement, etc?
