Question Seat Covers?

This is going to sound odd, but I have never purchased seat covers and I don't know how to go about it. I always just used beach towels, but my new old ('01) MOC SS has the black leather seats, and the seat side airbags. I want to protect the seats, and also my legs! I need ones for the back also, and they have to be sturdy ones, because sometimes I put dogs in there. Any suggestions?

Look for seat covers that are specifically airbag compatible and made for your seat type. Since you’ve got leather and side airbags, that part is important so they don’t block deployment. For durability with dogs, go with heavy duty neoprene or canvas/cordura style covers. They handle claws, dirt, and moisture much better than cheap universal polyester ones. For the rear seats, a bench cover or hammock style protector works best since it covers everything and keeps hair and mud off the seat and seatbacks. Custom fit covers are the nicest and most secure, but a good quality universal airbag safe set can work fine if it straps down tightly and doesn’t slide around.
