Not sure where to post this, but does anyone watch Passtime on the Speed Channel. Earlier this week they had a 1997 RWD (I would assume it had a tube Chassis) Monte ran in the low 8's in the Quarter and I think it did this with a BBC and a single carburetor. It had wheelie bars, a powerglide and real big fat rear slicks! Awesome sight for you die hard RWD guys. That's faster than Intense's FWD twin turbo 3800 which ran 8.90's.

 

Was it green?

 

I honestly don't remember, for some reason I kinda remember it with a two tone scheme, just not sure. I'm lucky if I remember what I for breakfast; I do remember the driver was a bit older (50-ish), on the short side and stocky.

 

Probably a tube chassis car, there's one local that runs low 4's in the 1/8. But that is not a street car by any means....

 

This car on passtime was by no means a street car either. It was just RWD and I thought that was pretty nice to see. First one I ever saw either for the street or strip.
