Maybe the battery is in need of replacement in the remote. Mine are always in need of a new battery.
So even if it says it is good on the tester I will replace it every year.
If that doesn't do the trick then you might need to consult the owners manual and get it reprogramed.
It depends on the year how that works but if you have a newer style it sometimes programs thru the radio.
Then if the original radio is no longer in the ride this could be a challenge.
You can also check in the youtube to see what advice they may have. Good luck.

check the remote start settings in the radio, having the battery out could have reset them to another setting. If there are any check engine lights on remote start will not work.
