Far from a stupid question. I am sorry I missed this question, as you got me intrigued!
So, the mounting is a little different where the holes are. I am sure there are easy ways to over come that. The connector is not the right shape.... OK, well, you can always re-pin it. there are ways to safely remove pins from the connectors and then slide and lock them into a new connector. But I believe the biggest issues, looks like the regal had some extra options. I am guessing interior temp sensors. If so, then you would also have to add those missing sensors. But that would be a neat in the end if it works, as it looks like you can set the temp to a desired temp and the HVAC unit will keep you at that temp (instead of getting too hot or two cold, it will auto control that). Could be a very nice mod!!
