An accident you can walk away from is the best kind you can have. Based on your description and the damage to your Monte, this could have been FAR worse if you were forward by only a couple more feet.
Looking at those pics, I am guessing it's a safe bet, the car is done for. A ton of damage has been dealt to probably all body panels, not to mention, the chassis is probably not straight any more. I hope insurance gives you a fair settlement. GM made a lot of these cars, it is possible to find another one, but there's only one of you.

Hey guys, all so much for these msgs I'm feeling a lot better, but my monte is finished :'(...I could have bought another one but I didn't. I really like the idea of having a car that has RWD and manual trans but also the idea of having the amazing 3800 series II engine..so I'm pretty sure ya'll can figure out what I chose. here she is..

sorry to see the monte in that condition, as i first seen the pic i figured it was totaled and then you confirmed it in the above post. im glad you are ok and now feeling alot better and i am glad you found the camaro just the way you wanted. its a sharp looking car! good luck with customizing the camaro just the way you want it!!
