Default Question Car is dead this AM
Is there a fuse from the alternator to the battery for charging protection?
Last weekend I was at a car show and left the key to the on position for a few hours when I discovered this I tried to start the SS and it barley did on the way home the onstar was out and the indicator said very fast and went away about check charging system now it wont start any Ideas?

How old is your battery? You may have drained it and ruined it. What happens when you turn the key? Does it click and try to start or not do anything at all?

Im charging the battery now and its building voltage at 9 volts currently.

I have my 03 on a battery tender - haven't had to replace the battery yet, and it's probably 5 years old now.

I'm at 12.5 volts now I will try and take it out in a little while and see what the battery voltage is.
