Default Question about dead battery and car beeping

I woke up this morning to a dead car battery, it worked fine last night and i highly doubt I left anything on as I never have before, but its possible that I did. I jumped the car earlier, let it run for about 30 minutes, then shut it off. When I used the key remote to lock the car, it made a faint beep noise, and I have never had my car set to beep on lock/unlock. So I used the remote to unlock it and no beep, then relocked it and heard the beep again. Does this mean my battery is still dying? I have a 2004 monte carlo LS. Thanks for any help

The beeping might be its original setting.
Before it died it had altered settings to when you lock/unlock your doors.
Whether you have the short/long delay, lights short/long delay or non at all.
What I think happened, when you jumped it, it went to its factory settings.
Sounds like your battery is dead, you can jump it and run fine but it wont hold charge or charge back up.
I just went through the same thing about a month ago.
Instead of asking passer by to jump me everytime i went and got a new battery.
I've heard Ultralast or something from Autozone has gotten great reviews, try them out.

My experience with batteries is that they don't die slowly, they just up and die with no warning. My last one was just like your's - no problems till one morning and my car would not turn over at all. Most parts stores will test the battery for you to be sure.
