It looks like "Lunar Quartz Metallic" and "Black Amethyst" are the same color on a 07 MC. Both are 320N. It was called BA in the brochure but if you decode the VIN the dealer calls it LQM. Mystery solved. Now the mystery of why my car decodes as 1 of 1? I'm looking for help on that one.

 

its 1 of 1 with the combination of options. like my car is 1 of like 244 ss victory red cars with a sunroof, black interior, but no side air bags, or 6 disc changer. so its one of 244 ss's in that color without that option, but its 1 of like 1250 victory red ss's(and only god knows how many non ss victory red cars it would be 1 out of, probably 1 out of 40000) every little option your car has will lower the number. lets say you have a black amethyst, beige leather interior, ltz, no sun roof, but a engine block heater. itll probably be a 1 of 1. the black amethyst cars are probably the rarest, and the color is sick. wish i had one. im sure an ss in that color without a sun roof would be fairly rare.

My car is actually an LT with beige cloth (which I don't mind, easy change if I want) I was so happy to find it that I didn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I saw the 06-07 MC production numbers and they are rare. Around 30,000 in 2006 and less than 9000 in 2007.

 

39000 mc built 06-07 total? or just SSs

 

I think there were about 32000 in 06 and 11000 in 07 total from what I could find but I dont think there are that many black amethyst/lunar quartz.

 

Are yall talking about the vin breakdown,what nimbers are you looking at to see if its 1 of 1 and option and paint code?
