Well I tried to get my Monte to the dealer for the power steering hose RECALL. I was busy all day last fri. So I said I'll do it 1st thing Monday morning ! I have a part time job working overnights. 11 to 7. I pull into the garage and park. After i get up this afternoon. I had to run to the store. As i'm pulling into the garage. I notice oil on the ground. OH OH . Check the trans fluid..It's ok. Check the power steering. Nothing in there. So thats why it felt like that this morning. I thought because it was -11 degrees. and I had the traction control on. So now In the morning I'm off to the dealer to get this fixed. Just waited one day too long. *&^%$ I should have done this fri. But Nooooo! Other things were more important.

I tried to go to the "Edmunds" link that was provided, but nothing showed up. This should be a good link to see any TSB's for your vehicle:

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/tsbs/tsbsearch.cfm

I hope that helps! Good luck.

Bring a book, it can take a good amount of time haha

Also make sure the car's alignment is right after you leave. When they did the work to my father's Monte, his steering wheel was a little off when he left.

Just got off of the phone with GM and the local dealer... ARM YOURSELF WITH THIS INFORMATION! After being told by 4 different people that my vehicle wasn't covered, I came up with this;

Yup. Another one of GM's Customer Satifaction Programs.

09132
VEHICLES INVOLVED
Involved are certain 2006 model Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo vehicles equipped with a V6 or V8 engine, and 2005 and 2006 model year Pontiac Grand Prix vehicles equipped with a V8 engine, and built within these VIN breakpoints:

2006 Chevrolet Impala, 69100003 - 69438808
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 69100406 - 69438794
2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, 51230922 - 51356980
2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, 61100004 - 61315421

Then...

Customer Satisfaction Program N090132 09132 POWER STEERING HOSE LEAK- ** EXPIRES 02/28/11 ** 11/24/2009 Open

After I called a 5th time, the guy on the phone told me my vehicle wasn't covered AGAIN. I gave him this information. Lo and behold! My vehicle IS covered! He is on the phone with my local dealer now...
