Hey guys I have a quick question on the police package avalible on 00-05 impala's.
What does it all concis of? Is the SS package the same or better ?

the police package to my knowledge was a upgraded cooling system, which is the hd radiator, high velocity cooling fans. And then the sway bars were the SS thickness level.

 

Is this an actual police car? I can't believe they'd use a coupe for a cruiser.

 

he asked about Impala police cruisers, never seen a Monte Police cruiser?? I know the Police cruisers whether they are Impalas,Crown Vic's or whatever have ,like Zippy said, heavy duty cooling system and also heavy duty beefed up suspension,(springs,sway bars etc) cool note,back in the '80s we had a Fla State trooper for security at work during Christmas,cool guy, he had the 5.0 mustang,never would let me drive it but I used to race him outta the parking lot most nights in my '68 Camaro 327 Rally Sport and ...YES! I usually beat him!!!

 

Was just wondering if the police package impala had different struts,brakes,wheel herrings. Than the SS
Or if it was the same just different package name.

 

I'm not positive about the Impalas, by the MC police package also includes the lightweight HD brake package that has aluminum calipers and caliper pistons. This brake package was also offered as an option on the SS models. My '03 has this brake package. As previously mentioned, the entire suspension is HD.
