Default "Absolutely, Positively Lost My Package ... FedEx"

So, I got the wire and the relays and I'm waiting for the FedEx Truck to arrive with my Fog Light Connections. I mean waiting ... like LOOKING for the truck. Pacing, wanting to get started measuring and stuff. No truck. Tracking info says yesterday was the day for delivery. No truck. So, I take a break and go up to the computer and just for craps and grins check the Tracking Number ... THE TRACKING NUMBER SHOWS THE PACKAGE DELIVERED!!! Where??? No here. There was NO FedEx Truck near my place.

I've been waiting five days. Now, it says I have the box and it was "Left at the Door ... No Signature Required."

There's no box. It didn't get delivered here. The dog would have let me know if someone approached the front door. If anything walks by ... even! That doggie has Radar. He can be sleeping and get-up barking if somebody comes up the walk. No box. No parts.

I called FedEx. Complain. They give me a Case Number. What do I do about getting reimbursed for the 40-Bucks worth of Parts in the box that they say was delivered and wasn't.
WASN'T!

I was here. With my daughter. Awake and looking out the window for the truck at 4:01PM when they say the package got "DELIVERED"

What do you do in a case like this?

Who's going to give me the money back of parts I need?

What should I do?

I already Punted!!!

Good luck getting them to pay your claim. UPS, Fed-Ex, and DHL are all the same. A taxidermist friend of mine had DHL lose two boxes of hides. When they finally showed up, half were unsalvagable. She's fighting them, but they're not paying even though it was insured. They will FIND some way to screw you over when THEY mess up.

I would double check around the house. I had this problem once even though I had a huge box next to the house that said UPS/FEDEX Deliveries.

I checked a door that is hard to access and obviously not a main door. Sure enough that is where my package was.

At my new house I have found them next to my detached garage, in the the front door which says "please use side door", and the worst was in my closed fire pit in the backyard.

I would check the doors you might not use in the house, around any decks you may have, etc. Might also want to check with neighbors to make sure it wasn't delivered to the wrong address.

Thinking more about it, I would really check with your neighbors. I had to stop the UPS guy from delivering my Dynomax exhaust to my neighbors house 2 years ago.

The neighbors all know me and would have called if the package was delivered to them by mistake. I'm sure the Driver brought it to a wrong address someplace else.
Like I said ... I was right here ... looking and waiting for the Truck. NO truck came here or down my street. I can't even imagine where it might be. There isn't really another Massey or anything sounding like Stafford Lane in any other part of town.

They did have an instance, over the holidays, where crooks were following the UPS and FedEx Trucks and snatching packages off the porch before the people got home.
It's too small a matter to start getting Lawyers and legal matters involved. It's just that I don't have a real big budget for buying the stuff I need for fixing-up the Monte the way I want.

I just wasted 40-Bucks if they don't find-out where it is and get it to me ... instead of having somebody else see what the Booty is in the mis-delivered box and wind-up just throwing it out rather than calling me and I'll go pick it up!

Makes me sick. I been waiting over a week for those Fog Light Plug-in's and thought I'd be spending a couple of quiet evenings with the nose of the Monte in the Garage doing the wiring-up!

Sorry to hear your problem with Fed-UpX.

Fed-UpX

I would check around the outside of the house good and with any close by neighbors. See if your package was left there?

We've had some nasty weather the past few days. My g/f works for a company that uses UPS, Fed-UpX, and Doh-HL. She told me that yesterday tey had to shutsomeproduction lines downdue to Fed-UpX not delivering needed parts. A guy who works for me said Fed-UpX wouldn't deliver a next day air package to his house either. It was a birthday present for his son who's b-day was yesterday. He said he spotted a Fed-UpX truck not 4 miles from his house on his way home from work.

Call-off the dogs!
I went to the local FedEx Distribution Facility and brought my "Delivered" printout.

I told the guy it wasn't delivered to my house and I just want the box. The insurance money won't get my lights on!
They did a little Two-way Direct-connecting between the Office and The Delivery Driver ... and the guy assured me it would be straightened-out by the morning.

It was straightened-out before I got home. As I pulled into my neighborhood there was a FedEx Truck leaving my street. BINGO!
Box on the stoop!

"And they all lived happily ever-after!"

Funny how they were quick to jump on that "Delivered" status though.

What a load of crap. The driver lost your package inside the truck, and decided, "screw it, I'll just put down as delivered" ?

Further proof that large companies don't give a rat's behind about their customers.
