Po410 and po412
Ok everyone i am new to my monte it is a 2000 monte ss it has a po410 and po412 code i changed the secondary air injecton valve and the switching valve solenoid and the codes still keep appearing the car has no perfomance issues and drives perfectly fine with no issuse i checked the smog pump it seems to be running fine air comes out of the pump where it is suppose to be and it doesnt seem like the hoses are clogged bc i took them off and i was able to blow air through all of the hoses please help its really frustrating and emission systems arent my cup of tea as some people would say.

I've had this issue a lot it comes and goes a lot and it's annoying even though it's a California code and is useless in pa I still have to get it situated because I have to get the car inspected soon so I could use some help on this as well for the p0410 issue

Sorry for such a late response but now that i finally got around to doing the work on my car i pretty much replaced the whole secondary air injection system tgot the codes cleared and the codes came back so my next step was to send the pcm out to get checked and it came back with nowthing wrong with the pcm so unfortunately i think i may have some bad wiring, or a bad ground wire which from what a few mechanics told me there are tons of ground wires on the monte carlos and it can be anywhere inside the dash to underneath the car or in the engine bay but the wont give me a diagram on where the ground points are so i can check them so if anyone knows where the ground points are it would be ultimatly help full so i can find them. and another thing it has to be somewhere after the fuse box in the engine bay because all of my fuses are working fine.

ownes91 since i have had an ongoing issue with this check first thing in the am or on the first startup of the day on the car and on the drivers side front fender see if the smog pump is turning on it should only come on for about 5-10 seconds in the am if it is warm because its not cold it wont stay on but if the pump comes on check the tubing leading to the second air injection bypass valve make sure the tubing is clear and plenty of air can get through it and if that is fine check the bypass valve and sometimes the valve just needs to be cleaned out and if that is fine then check Air Injection System Control Valve which is basically an electrical control valve.
