A few pictures of the engine bay after she was refitted with a new turbocharger. Notice I have a little more real estate now as the Tial Wastegate and the dual blow off valves are no longer there. The new turbocharger has them incorporated into it. Notice how by using the L26 aluminum manifold Matt was able to mount the throttle body at an angle thus providing more space between the TB and crossover pipe reducing heat exposure and allowing more clearance for the turbo. Isn't the ceramic coated UIM a thing of beauty? Waaay better performing and looking than my old plastic OEM style one.
We installed the thicker 1.25" Impala Police Package HD radiator and associated higher velocity electric fans for increased cooling capabilities. I believe the OEM size radiator for our cars is 5/8"
Notice how TB is now angled for clearance
Borg-Warner 8473 EFR Turbocharger
A lot more bling from the Ceramic coated UIM

Hello Mike, Matt says no increase in turbulence in the UIM, as we have the ZZp HV3 insert installed. I trust him to have done this in such a way as to not affect performance. He does alot of homework for the builds asks alot of questions, actually has his masters in Automotive technology and theory. Pretty sharp pencil kind of guy. His father took top dragster in 2011, they are a racing family, the shop makes them their bread and butter money. Glad you like the new set up.
