Default peeling dash/wearing away?

i know this is common, and iv read about on the forum... somewhere.

anybody else going through this? i was getting out at work and noticed it. to the left of the radio theres a worn spot. i guess where my leg rests when i drive. its been bugging me all day.

my 2003 was peeling on the passenger side pretty bad. i thought about taking it out and hitting it with a the hotsy pressure washer to peel the coating off and painting it

Yea mine all almost peeled off so I sanded it and painted it.

Mine has a couple of peeling spots. I wish GM did not coat these, sure they look and feel nice, but when they begin to peel, UGH.

They care about them leaving the showroom, and its not like dash peeling is covered under warranty. Go GM!

Yeah my center counsel needs a bit of work next time I take it out.

its a very small spot. barely noticable. but once you see it and know its there, your always gonna look at it. or atleast i do. i guess im lucky it isnt worse, but i like to know my options ahead of time.
