Paint your brake caliper
thats what color i would paint them if i did...i think i'd mix up some home depot orange here @ the store and have them sprayed
then they'll match great
when i do, do them

you are right in saying it is a matter of opion, it is...
I have actually had judges coem up to my car and stare at it for what seemd to be hours to look at the wheels and calipers and say that really finishes it off.
I have had others walk up look at it and leave thinking it was not something they liked.
but then i would winn the show with thier vote.
it is not how fancy you can make your car spendign money on it. it is have you taken the time to clean everything the way it needs to be done and also have you payed attention to the details. I.E. painted calipers are a detail that some folks over look or dont like. But i have one a show aginst two other montes for the red calipers and the painted parts under the hood tha tthey didnt have.
One of them could not even open his hood when i pulled in and oped mine up. he only thought his was clean enough to be in teh show taht way.
the other guy did have a really nice monte i figured i would not get anythign out of it. but yet he only pulled a 4th place overall.
and he did this becuse he didnt pay attention to the details on the car. the car was sharp but he didnt vacume it verry good on the way to the show, it really needed to be dusted off (i hve the car dusters i use at shows)
and his paint work was great out side fo the car but when you opend the hood, trunk or doors you could tell who ever painted it didnt jamb the car to get it all coverd so under the hood was green adn the rest of the car was RED
he looked like a x-mass tree. But he said the hood was a redo of the org. as it was hit a few weeks before the show but they hadent finished it as they were in a hurry.
Was it worth it?
I would have skiped the show and made my car right before going to lose to someone with a car that in the day light looks basically stock
