the od green xj
scored couple parts from the jy today. almost brand new radiator $32. i bought life time warranty radiator for my 2001 last year it's the same brand it's from the same store where i got it. i'll just take this back to the store and tell them it's defective so they can give me brand new one
.

spectre air filter

the jeep badly need new muffler.

pick up flowmaster super 44 from autozone for $80 and have the muffler shop installed for $60. would cost $210 plus taxes if i were to buy and install at the shop. the muffler is not break in yet but man this xj got some ***** now. it be more rumble when it break in. there's no rasp at all. sound better than my '04 ss in stock form. i'll get video later so you can listen for yourself.

im really enjoy stock height right now. getting good gas mileage and the ride is pretty smooth. im having second thought about going over 4.5" of lift. once it's lift the ride won't be as comfortable and not good on gas either. with 33" on stock gears sux. going to be a money pit regear, slip yoke eliminator, longer drive shaft, and the list keep going on
. maybe 3.5" with 31" or 32" tires and it's still going to look good and ride won't be that bad.
got brand spanking new radiator today. yup i went to the auto store and complain about it being defective and want a new one. the store ask for receipt told them i don't have it. gave them my name and told the dude to look up in the computer. he said they don't keep on file that's why i need to show them the receipt
. to make long story short in the end customer always right
they gave me new radiator and print me out a new receipt for the future if it's defective again

here's little crappy video i made on the super 44. it sound good right now but i want it throatier and louder. still have the factory cat converter. i saw lot of jeep guys running Thunderbolt hi-performance cat converter. it makes deeper tone sound. im going to look into that.

got bored last few days ago decide to change transmission, transfer case fluid, and engine oil. even tho the p.o. said he had all the fluids changed i wasn't buying it. some seller would say that just to make a sale. transmission and t-case use same fluid dex/merc lll or compatiable. read ATF 4 cause trans slippage . im using what cherokee guys recommend. trans and t-case fluids look like chocolate milk. yup he really did changed all the fluids
. i probably change the transmission fluid again about 3k miles. might have to change couple times til the fluid stay red when i pull out the dip stick. i want to change the axles fluid too i know they probably never been change probably look like mud water. im doing the zj brake swap and really hate to put in new fluid and dump out again for the brake swap. the lucas gear oil i bought were $12.00 a bottle
. i'll figure some thing else.

future thing to do list:
plugs, cap, and wires.
flush and install radiator
new valve cover gasket
axle swap
front bumper

my buddy been bugging me to go to the jy and get him driver side door. i didn't want to cuz i knew how pain in the butt it is to get the door off on the cherokee. there's 6 torx bolts and use T30 and 1/4 rachet there's not a lot of room there. and if you don't be careful the torx head will get strip off and you screw. the first 2 bolts came off easy the 3rd and next 3 after head stripped off
. i used cordless angle grinder to cut the bolt off but doesn't do any good cuz it doesn't have the juice like the cord one. well lucky i got the first 2 bolts out and the door was little loose on the bottom. i yanked on the door bend it back and forth til the hinges ripped it off the sheet metal on the body. finally there's enough room for the angle grinder to make that last cut. good thing i work out cuz i knew someday i have a good use for my muscles
