Default No oil flow

On my 98, I have no oil flow. would it be the oil pump or clogged pickup tube? Basically, I'm wondering if it's more the pump, not the tube, as it's easier to get to the pump than the tube.

I replied to this yesterday and for some reason it didn't take.
So I will try again.
I was reading thru the Haynes Monte Carlo repair book for this and it really has limited information.
However it does say when you change the Oil Pump not to repair or rebuild the unit you have just replace it with a new one.

There was no info on the pickup tube, but there maybe a filter screen at the tip of the tube.
One thing you could check is youtube to see if there is a repair for the engine you have?
Hope that you get it figured out.

Most likely it's the oil pump. But if your replacing the oil pump might as well replace the pickup tube as well.

Hope you turned the car off instantly when this happened, if not that engine may be toast

Pull the oil filter adapter from the block and check the oil passages on the block. Mine were blocked with sludge on my 2001 SS.
