New to MCF, need help
I have a 2003 Monte LS 3.4L.
It has 85K, and a K&N. That's it.
Thanks for the help, and thanks to the owner for creating this site.
I just read the "what gains thread pinned to the top. Very heplful!

Thanks Spacerider-
I am anxious to get going on it. However, I have several pieces of "preventative" maintenance to do.
I do have a question.....
I also have a big ole 2000 Le Sabre 3.8L w/140,000 miles on it.
I know both cars have the 4T60E tranny, but do they actually have different torque converters, or is it a computer/electronic calibration that is unique to each of them? The Buick converter seems to lock up at about 1500, and the Monte at about 2500.....

Welcome to the forum.
I would think they both have the same convertor but use different tunes due to the Buicks slightly larger engine. But thats just my guess. Sure some one more knowledgable will chime in.
Love yellow montes. Hope I dont get flamed for this., but I think very few cars can pull off a yellow paint job and the 00-05 monte is one of em. others are Lambos and ferrari's thats about it. LOL

RE: New to MCF, need help
Well, I actually bought this for the wife, (part of the pre-nup), and she drives it most of the time, but the Buick is showing its age in a bad way, so I am going to start driving the Monte, (60 miles one way to work), and want the best performance out of it I can get.
The yellow really has grown on me, and now that it has tinted windows it looks even better.
