Well unfortunately He sold it to a guy who paid his asking price, cant say I dont blame him. He loved that car and wanted to get every penny possible out of it. But Oh well i guess ill just put my money into my 01 SS.

Sorry you got stabbed on the deal. I know from experience how it feels.
(like a '55 Chevy and a '56 Chevy Convertible come to mind)

I wouldn't give up the search. And if the seller told you some bull story about this other guy giving him the asking price, to me that's all it is. BULL!
Why? Cause he knew you were interested. Plus YOU were there F-I-R-S-T. Not this other guy.

If infact the seller knew you wanted to car and even if you talked him down (big deal, you talked him down on the price) then he recanted on the deal then HE is the one with the bad name. Not you.

Sorry but I'd be telling all my friends how this guy screwed me. We had a deal and he sold underneith me.

how is the seller to blame? I don;t know how this whole deal went down, but if the OP talked him down and didn;t have money on him, or a hand shake was not had, then the seller has every right to sell it to another person.

Don't worry 14DMN, it took me over a year to find my 4th gen, just be patent and look at everything thats offered. you never know when you find your dream car!!!
