My Monte Carlo crashed on the Nurburgring, all on video!

Well, it's cool that you got the video at least! It didn't look like a hard hit and you seemed to drive away, so that's good. I'm glad you're okay. Other's disagree, but I don't like FWD in the rain (or snow) - especially on a race course.

FWD is virtually uncontrollable in slick conditions like rain (or snow) - beside that being on a race course. Most all my race experience has been with a rear wheel drive.
I lost mine on I-80 near Lincoln, NE when a guy hit me in the side the old lady didn't help much when she screamed. It was November and wet and a little mud on the hwy.
The guy who hit me never stopped, I got the passenger side quarter pretty bad.
I wished I had an E-Brake handle I could have locked the rear a bit and maybe recovered it. You can't do it with a petal ebrake.
Any way you should be able to get it back with some work, you get it back to the USA blame it on the shipper guys......

Atleast it didn't seem too bad, but on the upside i bet you're probably one of, if not the only Chevy monte carlo to have been on the Nurburgring

At least you had the guts to try it out. I don't think I would take that risk. Not that it is great comfort but at least it was a single car incident and you didn't mess up someone else's car and as well you did it to yourself not a result of someone else.
Still sorry for you though.

But yeah, probably because of being in Europe, the repair cost was around $6800, and I was told it would be totaled, but its all for the best, I still get to keep the car either way since I own it. I'll just repair the little damage on there myself in the states.

Y'know, you may not believe me, but if that were my car I wouldn't touch a thing (with the front bumper anyways). That's battle damage! And it's awesome and tells a great story. It looks "raced in". I'm jealous
