General Monte Carlo Talk Talk about the Monte Carlo. Does not have to be your Monte. Can include pics and games.

Most miles driven on a tank or most gas put in at a fill up.

That's about hwat I get. The thing is, my highway trip to Campbell University is not 100% highway, it's about 50% interstate, 20-30% open country roads, and 20-30% city. And I'm danged proud to have made 31.1 one time on that drive!! Like I said, I normally get around 29.

You are slowly killing your fuel pump if you are running the gauge into the red. The gas is what keeps the fuel pump running cool. I never let my tank get below a 1/4 tank.

24-26 MPG is my usual with about 70% HWY, 30% city. This is with my heavy foot. I don't drive slow, nor do I accelerate slow. I cruise at 80 and 90 on the highway, minimum being 75 mph usually. So I think my MPG's are damn good considering how I drive. LOL.

Now once and a while i'll take it easy, and then I'll get 27-28 MPG. On road trips (almost 100% HWY) if I set cruise control between 70 and 75 MPH, I get in the low 30's (30-32 mpg). Twice in the time I've had the car i've gotten 33. something over the course of an ENTIRE tank of gas. Both times it was straight hwy, keeping cruise right around 70, with only like 1 high speed pass on the whole tank.
