Sam's 07 Turbocharged Monte Carlo SS will continue to be the bench mark for any on going or future 6th / 7th gen Monte Carlo build. This gentleman's pursuit of a turbocharged build for his car eventually manifested itself through design build necessity in to the awe inspiring beauty you now see before you. This Monte Carlo SS approaches Super Car status, Well done Sam, very very well done!

Agreed Greg. Very unique car and build and it just goes to show the possibilities with these cars. I know I've said this numerous times now, but I hope to have the chance to meet Sam and see the car in person, and that looks like a possibility sometime this summer.

I gotta say that's one sweet monte and done right, but with 800+hp it's pretty much useless. Can you imagine the Tq steer in the car. Would have invested that kinda money into a classic/muscle car before building that tire melter.

Has anyone took the time to review the article about this magnificent Monte Carlo SS? You should really take five minutes to read the the magazine's write up to get a better understanding of what it took to build this car. Look at the last page and you can see the spec's for some aspects of the build and then know this 4.5 year build was not a flash in the pan.
The monte's owner Sam, a resident of the great state of Michigan like many of us, wanted his monte to be a contender while on the streets. While the initial build plan was not overly ambitious, it was not meant to be a simple 8 week build either. Sam is a long time car enthusiast, having an understanding of where he wanted his new Monte build to try and get to, the efforts ended up being nothing short of Herculean. I was very privledged to have been in the position to see this car morph from a stock OEM 2007 Monte Carlo SS into it's present highly modified configuration. Should you Michigan members make it to a few select car shows in 2014 in which Sam will have his gem of a monte, you really need to make the effort to get up close and personal. You will not be disappointed, you can literally marvel over the whole car for quite some time. The more mechanically minded you are the longer you will look her over as the finer aspects of the complete car pull you into her and make you wonder, "How did they do that?".![Confused](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
The builder Matt Snell of Paul's Auto out of Sandy, Utah and the owner Sam collaborated with many performance parts manufacturers such as Wilwood,Comp,Dart and many many others on the spec sheet, to insure this car would be able to perform to to's optimum potential and in harmony with the other components. This build is truly a one of a kind and is the Ultimate 7th Gen. Monte Carlo SS. She is worthy of being in a automotive collection of the Rich and Famous. Sam will take her to the track this year and put her up against some of the best Michigan has. Sam, I don't see a parachute or oxygen mask...![ROTFL](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/lmao.gif)
Side note: My Monte's build benefited highly from the information gleaned from Sam's trials and errors. Thanks Sam!! Thanks Matt!!

Also, thanks for the short story behind the build.
