go to carguru.com and punch in 06 gto there is one in columbus ohio exactly as you described for 19,000 w 27,ooo miles on her. 6 speed manual ,one owner ready to go! thats what got me to start this topic in the first place. oh well we live,learn, and should always be grateful for what we do have.

 

Id rather have the monte. It a much better looking car. My sisters boyfriend has an 06 GTO and Ive driven it a few times. The thing is a beast but Not much of a looker imo. The monte is more sleek a I like a car with sharp lines so that just could be me. And plus, a 5.3 is better than my 3.8 haha. But in al seriousness, 400hp+RWD=NO SNOW DRIVING. Id want something fun and dependable

 

You can drive them in snow, there not the best but if you dont get into it like a crazy person its just fine

 

yeah personally i dont wanna just buy something because its fast id rather put the time and sweat in and make it fast! all about pride in your vehicle ! and i second that "on the gto not having great body lines" i pass them all day and dont realize but as soon as its a monte carlo im like MONTE!

 

I think the Monte Carlo has better lines and a shape like nothing else on the road. To me some of the GTO's look kinda plain. They are nice cars with good performance but I just like the monte better. I would take Mike's for a spin around the block tho.

 

Monte does have better lines but the GTO looks great too especially in white, might repaint mine white & lol Lou alot of ppl would like to take it for a spin but so far ive only let one person drive it & they have put more miles on it than me

Like they said better lines on the Monte and you can make it fast I have.

 

But the gto will always be faster with the same mods so its a toss up really
