"Are you guys 100% sure a dealership's computer is not going to be able to detect the flash changes, if I switch it back to "Stock Tune"when I take it in for service? Will I need to drive it for 30-miles or so for the ECM to re-adjust?"

That's my#1 question, as well.

What effect has the Diablo had on your gas mileage and performance?

If someone can ask my question, I would buy one in a heart beat!

But I think my next purchase is going to be a Diablo Predator and 93 Oc w/no DoD will be my tune, along with 06MonteSS's special tune.

yes... 100% sure dealer will not know you had a tune in there after you restore the original backup. No, won't have to drive it to relearn anything for the dealer.

Hell, when I take my car in for service, I get to my dealer's service parking lot, and THEN restore my original backup - then I put the Predator in the trunk. When my service work is done, I install my tune before I leave their lot. And I even have a Diablosport Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems sticker on my back window! LOL

Also, looks like you used the smaller trunk sized SS on your front grill... should use one of the door-sized SS's - they're bigger and will cover up that whole chevy bowtie section on the front grill. See my pics at the link in my sig.

I use Mobil 93 octane gas, use the Diablo Tune No DOD (Diablo Tune is the one for 93 octane), and have all my fueling dialed in correctly.

I'm always in v8 mode, drive 50/50 city/highway every day, and get on it when I have enough room in front of me. I get 20.5 mpg consistently.

Performance: quicker/faster throttle response, quicker acceleration, stronger pull, etc etc.

One more question, if you don't mind. How many octane tunes are there with the Diablo? I assume there's an 87 tune, but, is there one specifically for 89, 91 and 92? Thanks.

there are 3 tunes generally...

Diablo Tune (which is the one for 93 octane), 91 octane tune, and 87 octane tune.

Thanks. The reason I asked is that 93 octane is hard to find in my neck of the woods.

One last question (sorry to be a PITA). Assuming you've tried the 91-octane tune, how does it compare to stock performance? Is there a significant improvement worth 400 bucks? In a previous thread, someone suggested the Hypertech tuner, which supposedly does the same things for less money. However, I checked their website, and apparently they don't offer a tuner for 06-07 Montes of any flavor.

Thanks again.
