crime stopper?
i bought my car used about 6 months ago and i have been wondering what this little tiny black box is thats on the top left corner of my windsheild. it says crime stopper on it and has a tiny antenna coming out of it. lowjack type of thing or what? by the way i got my 2004 ls in perfect condition from a gm dealer with 24,000 miles on for $6200 sound like a good deal? just wondering if i got as good of a deal as i think i did.

But that sounds like a heck of a deal on the '04 Monte. When do we get to see pics?
I paid $17k for an '06 with 10,8xx miles on it in october, 2006. Of course $1700 of that was for an extended warranty. (I hope is still good?)

I looked around on the net too. I didn't find the exact module in your picture. But it looks like a broken glass sensor for a car alarm.
Do you have the key fob (key chain with the door lock buttons) from the factory? Or is it an aftermarket one? Sounds like your car has (or had) a car alarm installed by a previous owner.
You may have the entire alarm system still installed in your car. Or the previous owner removed the heart of the system and just left the stuff too hard to remove.
