I don't see a problem with people putting some stuff on their can like Brittany or Chris for example. That's just showing some pride/dedication to their favorite racecar driver.

The problem comes when people make the conscious effort to make a fake collector's item. Just putting the Intimidator badge on isn't doing that. If the person went all out and put the Intimidator edition headrests, guage cluster, dash plate, sill plates, etc... then telling people it's a real Intimidator edition. Then there's a problem.

Kinda like that guy went through with the fake yellow pace car edition a couple months back.

I guess I'll ditch the idea of an Intimidator badge on the outside (trunk area) of my car! I'm just gonna have an Intimidator trunk panel, door sills and floor mats and I'm gonna try and find an Intimidator license plate frame that I used to have on my other car....and of course my NASCAR, PA issued license plate! I'm not trying to be an actual Intimidator edition monte, does this still make me an imposter????

 

Hell no, of course not.
I can tell you're an avid Dale fan, so i understand the Dale accessories.
But what Lou said is also true, to try and pass a fake as a duplicate for monetary or personal gains is definitely frowned upon.

 

i have 'stang wheels and vette calipers, and grand prix roof rail...do i fit in the "wannabe" ?

 

thanks Jose, I wouldn't do that and couldn't do that! I have an 06, I was gonna say, if you know anything about monte carlos you would know, but some idiots do try and deceive people and it is not right....
