RE: Knight badge
LOL!
This is one Q that has always eluded me. I've researched a bit and can't seem to find the answer. I'd bet Space'd be able to, tho .
Taz ... yes, the Monte Carlo is the original knight rider . At least, I like to think so! But...I ain't biased.
Snyderman, if you can see my avatar pic under my name to the left, you can see the MC emblem!

RE: Knight badge
Cort... I thought there would be at least someone on NMCOA who would know. Surprising.
I suppose we could try calling Chevy Customer Assistance. LOL. Give them a choice. Either tell us the origin of the knight emblem, or give all of us our Certificates of Authenticity! Those are their only options!
I'll try Google, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Im ordering one of those badboys. I must find a way to get a custom grille with that replacing the bowtie.

RE: Knight badge
Most people who get the Tony Stewart grill, or the SLP grill for their 2000-2005, remove the knight's crest from the front grill. Mainly because you more or less have to for fit. It's one of those things that a lot of people would throw away after removing it. But you may get lucky and be able to find someone who still has theirs lying around somewhere.

RE: Knight badge
I thought I remember reading a while back, a member who bought a grill package for an Impala. And just didn't use the lower grill insert from the kit.
Or maybe not. Not 100% sure now. I know a few LT and LTZ owners who installed the stock SS grills into their cars and removed the bowtie.
