Ok the verdict was the cars ignition had been changed and I had the dealer cut mea key using the vin number... Cost me 54 bucks but it was a absolute must

 

i ended up having a lock smith fix my door lock i had the same issue when i got my monte. i noticed that when i looked at it and went for a ride and got it they never used the lock on the door never put two and two together till the battery in the controller went dead. it was about 60 bucks for him for small plastic peaces and a new cylender and rekey for the door.

 

Stupid keys! Mine works, but I threw my key fob at the ground and its still in a parking lot somewhere in 1000 pieces, so I HAVE to use my key.
