Got over 144,000 on my 98 MC, also with a 3.1.

And my 06 is falling apart with 22K. I guess America cars can't handle daily short trips of 8 miles. Routine maintainence done every 2500-3000K and had a steering rack done @ 18K.

I have only had one US car make 100K out of 5 cars.

Sometimes you get lucky with a car. Sometimes all your luck is bad. I have had good luck with this car. Maybe the stars aligned and I got all the good parts in my car.

That is great to hear. I picked up my 03 3.4 a month ago because we were planning a trip to Florida. It had 142,000 miles on it and that made me a little nervous. I could not convince my wife or daughter to ride in the trunk of my corvette and my silverado gets 14 mph with the wind to my back. Needed a 4 seater. Just returned from the trip, 10 States 2800 miles. Used no oil and got 30 mpg through many cities and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Ran great and I am impressed. Looking forward to 200,000.
