hmm idk. member wanye (rocknss04) has one just like yours so he may be able to tell you. i thought it came on the title or a certificate that came with the car. sure wish mine had a number lol. but good luck!

 

yeah, theres a certificate with the number that comes with the car. not sure if there's a badge with a number on our cars though.

 

You can contact GM and give your VIN and get the number, but they WILL NOT re-print you a certificate

ok so i called the number in the other thred and the transfered me to another number, which is out of service. great!!

 

Sounds like we need to do some more research on this. That ph # has worked many times. I wonder if we are now "S.O.L." on this?

Stole this from another thread: The phone # to Chevy Customer Assistance is 1-800-222-1020. They used to be very helpful with the build # question. But recently, they've been brushing people off. Or just out right ignoring them. But you're welcome to give them a try. As for the Certificate of Authenticity, you may have to track down the original owner, or the Chevy dealership that sold the car in 2004, and ask them what happened to the certificate.

 

Unfortunately there is no plate or tag on any of the "driver edition" 2003 - 2005 Monte Carlo's that any of us have found....yet.

It's possible that since the re-organization of GM, the contact info may be different. If anyone has updated info, please let us know.

The build number question is a common question asked.
