Intimidator Logos
I am in the process of purchasing on 2004 MC SS Intimidator from a friend. The guy took the "intimidator" logos off the side but left the one on the trunk. Does anyone know where I can purchase these at...if I can?
Thanks

RE: Intimidator Logos
Just giving you a heads up. If you go to the dealer, they may ask for proof of ownership or something with the car's VIN.
I say, "MAY" ask, because some parts on certain edition Monte Carlos are considered "proprietary" by GM.
Basically what that means is that GM will only sell certain parts to people who actually own the real thing. On the Intimidator edition, that would include stuff with Dale's signature or the DEI logos... Stuff like that. Only 4000 Intimidator editions were made; complete with certificate of authenticity. And keeping certain parts "proprietary" is GM's way of trying to cut down on the ability to create clone Intimidator editions.
They do this with many different Monte Carlos. Like the Pace Car editions, and the "driver" editions (Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Dale Jr.), just to name a few.
If I were you, I would make the dealership your last resort since they are more likely to be the most expensive. If you're not in a hurry for the Intimidator badges, maybe try checking out a few Monte Carlo sites to see if there is another Intimidator owner who shaved off their badges, and are willing to separate with them.

RE: Intimidator Logos
Look through the classifieds here. There were at least two people parting out Intimidators in the past few months.
They may have badging available, and I imagine it would be much much less than a dealership would ask for.
-Riggs.
