Default Insurance on 5.3l (owners please chime in)

My 04 LS have developed more issues than I care to fix even after rigorous maintenance and upkeep. So I am looking at getting a car in the spring. I was looking at 2007 5.3l W-bodies.

My question is: How much are you guys paying for insurance? I'm 21 and insurance on my 04 is $700 a year.

you're best and most accurate answer would be to just call for a quote and tell them that you own the type of car that you actually want.

yea...it's gonna depend on so much that it'd just be easier to call and get an official quote. things like location, speeding tickets, wreckless driving citations, and all that crap play into you're annual rate.

if it helps at all, i think on my insurance, my SS is considered a class 19 vehicle. (the higher the class, the higher the rate)

It'll go up some. By how much, I'm not sure. At least most insurers that I know of go more by the value of the car than they do what type of motor it has. That's the primary reason why 4x4s are more expensive to insure than 2wd trucks, because in a wreck if any of the 4x4 components are damaged it's far more expensive to fix.
